Tomahawk

Difficult Difficult lemon difficult !

The decisions of the night before put us on the back foot today, our average SOG for the 10hrs from 7am-5pm was a mere 2.7 knots, hardly edge of the seat stuff. Still we are now entering the straits of Messina and skirting the TSS  under full Main, S2 , mizzen with 1 reef, mizzen staysail tacked to windward and spin staysail tacked to windward, visibility from the Helmand location is bugger all!

SOG now 7.3 knots so the smiles have returned and grumpy after guard are planning the next moves!

We have seen two very different forecast for the coming night and have decided to believe in the one with wind !!!

Tonight we are looking forward to lasagne with green beans and cheeky glass of vino!

I have to say I almost had a falling out with one of the crew James as when I announced it was my birthday he guessed my age at 43, now I’ve had a hard paper round but that hurt !

We’ve kissed and made up now!

Great to see Stormy Weather having a great run, we are jealous of her progress but wish her all the best, however our ears are pegged back and we are trying are hardest to get back in touch.

Dinners ready, so I’m signing off, let’s see what the treats lie ahead.
