The past 24 hours have been very interesting ! After we rounded Stromboli, we enjoyed strong easterly  wind , to keep our advance, we decided to Ser our heavy symmetric spinnaker ! What the hell it was !!! Surf surf and surf at 20 knots + . after less than an hour we decided it was enough and give up sailing for the spinnaker until winds become more reasonable.

We gave it another try with the asymmetric heavy but some one decided that we should be more patient, upon hoisting it, the boat was smashed till the mast was horizontal. We could not get back to had to stop this « experience ».  We had opportunity to set spinnaker again later during the night.
We are now heading to Pantelleria in calm conditions, we took this opportunity to dry all clothes , sails et house keeping.

First time I am joining RMSR in double handed, I admit that with such weather conditions since we left La Valette , it is hard to be on top 24/7 a d to remain close the full crew competitors of our class. Nevertheless, the Cisk will be even more deserved when we will arrive !
