Geisha

Check in at 1715 Sunday 19/102014.

Currently making just short of 8 knots and making steady progress towards the Straits of Messina.

Another stunning afternoon on day 2 and after some tricky light airs now making positive progress towards the Straits before nightfall. The large .75 ounz spinaker is working hard for us right now

Mark Johnson is quietly giving us a lesson on the darker arts of weather including adiabatic lapse rates.

The mood is high on board and for some the expectation of supper of Moroccan salad is already high on the agenda.

Looking ahead through the straights there are a number of boats crossing the channel and we are also of the same view at this point.

Crew of Geisha signing off.
